The following questions reflect the criteria for granting this type of variance. Please complete them; use additional

Whether an undesirable change will be produced in the character of the neighborhood or a detriment to nearby
property will be created by the granting of this sign variance?
There will be no undesirable change produced by the granting of the variances The signage proposed is necessary to
properly Brand and operate the business. There is already an existing pole sign and multiple building signs. The menu
boards are a necessary operational component.
2. Whether the benefit sought by the applicant can be achieved by some method, feasible for the applicant to pursue,
other than a sign variance?
There is no means to achieve the benefit other than the granting of the variance. They need a monument sign for
identification, entrance sign for guidance and the menu boards are a necessary operational component.
3. Whether the requested sign variance is substantial?
The requested variance is the minimum necessary for proper guidance and Branding,. given the competitive market for car
4. Whether the proposed variance will have an adverse effect or impact on the physical or environmental conditions in
the neighborhood or district?
The requested sign variances will not have any adverse impacts on the environment. The lit signs are internally illuminated
5. Whether the alleged difficulty was self-created?
The requested variance is not self created but a result of the operational requirements and the necessary Branding given the
competitive nature for car wash facilities and to be able to maximize the ability for a reasonable return on investment.

project includes accessory buildings for the mechanicals and associated equipment for the facility. The plans
show a free standing internally lit monument sign of 41 sq ft. The plans show a wall sign of 19.01 sq ft with
