RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE OF PRIVATE
DRIVEWAY/ROAD NAME FROM
"BALL BOULEVARD" TO "DEER CROSSING"

SECONDED BY:
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 434.95, the Queensbury Town Board adopted a list of names
for private driveways and roads in the Town in connection with the 911 addressing system, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No.: 157,2009, the Town Board added `Ball Boulevard," a
private roadway to serve lots 308.6-1-15 and 308.6-1-16 located off Amy Lane, to the Town's list of
private driveways and road names, and
WHEREAS, the property owner of 9 Ball Boulevard, who owns the only actual residence on
Ball Boulevard, has requested that the Town Board authorize a name change of the private roadway
from`Ball Boulevard"to "Deer Crossing,"and
WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent and Town Clerk have advised that they have no
objection to the requested name change, and
WHEREAS,the Town Board wishes to approve the request,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the private
driveway/road name change from `Ball Boulevard"to "Deer Crossing," as described in the preambles
of this Resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Highway
Department to arrange for installation of any necessary poles and street signs identifying "Deer
Crossing,"and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Highway Superintendent, Town Clerk and/or Director of Building and Codes Enforcement to notify
any necessary parties concerning the road name change for 911 emergency notification purposes and
take any other actions necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.

In relation to our recent phone conversation regarding the private right of way, Ball Blvd. in the
Town of Queensbury.
I am the current property owner of 9 Ball Blvd. the only actual residence on this private right of
way. The entire right of way is shared between tax lot numbers 308.06-1-15 (mine) and 308.06-
1-16. 1 wouid: like to initiate.-a strange in the name of this private right of way from the current
Bali. Blvd..to Deer. Crossing. 1 have attached an email from the owner of the other property, that
is currently up for sale granting permission to proceed with the name change. Please let me
know what the next steps are, or any other documentation required to initiate with process. I
look forward to working with your office and the town board to complete this request. I can be
