DISCUSSION HELD-MINUTES-
Mrs. Betty Monahan - I noted, that one thing that I thought was Zeft out, that was
rather important, that when the people from the Tuthill, Cormus Road Area came,
remarks were made to them why are you taking this tact when on the map it is ten
acresa I think that" that is a ZittZe misleading and I think that the fact there
is no note in the minutes. has a bearing on it because there were people in the
audiences I believe„who were going to get-up and say what they thought, but after
they had been toZd,"here is the map, it has been zoned ten acree”they did not feel
it was necessary, so I think that note should be in there. I also think, it should
be noted that in case of any further research on this zoning ordinances that all
the ideas are not stated in here,, either in the public hearing part or in the
discussion of the Board that follows Zater, and I think 'perhaps a note should be
made that if anyone is really researching this`they need to go to the tapes not
just to the minutes.
Supervisor Walter- I have requested that the public hearing tapes be kept as a
permdnent record . . .
Mrs. Betty Monahan- I think that this should be noted as an addendum to these minutes
so that someone reading the minutes will realize that they are reading a condensed
version of what happened, _--- - ---_ ___ -- _ __
Supervisor Walter- I do not know whether you want it part of the minutes, but in the
minute book you could make a notation that the tapes are available.
Mrs. Betty Monahan- and the tapes do contain information that are not in the minutes.
Town Clerk- asked for clarification of Mrs. Monahan first amendment to the minutes. . .
Mrs. Betty Monahan-When the people were here from Tuthill, Cormue,if you remember
right, and they were getting up and expressing some of their thoughts, several times
the comment was made to them, it did you check the new map before you came in, because
here it is., ten acres more or less ;.so some people who were
in the audience
., who were going to get up and express their interest in having the
ten aeree, did not feel it necessary, and I think perhaps that this should be noted.
Town Clerk- requested that during public hearings only,o* person speak at a time. . .
suggested that the public hearing in regard to the zoning be written verbatim. . .
Supervisor Walter- requested that a notation be made in the minute book;;that a
transcript of the public hearing and the tapes are available to the pubZic. . .

Mobile Home Application-Thomas C. Jones Jr. of 581 Glen Street to place a
RV on Lake George Road-temporary-approved by Building and Zoning Dept.
Mr. Jones was present the application was adjourned until tonights meeting. . .
Mr. Mike O'Connor-representing Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Jones-this is a temporary permit
to place a recreation vehicle on their property which isAnown as the Exit 20 Motel.
We are placing a 32' Holiday Rambler RV no;sid"that after submitting the application
in ApriZ)the vehicle that was mentioned on the application was sold and was replaced
with a newer vehicle the 32' Holiday. Mr. & Mrs. Jones purchased the mo:heZ March
29th and since then have improved it, new roofs, new paving fill at the pool area,
Landscaping and general decorating. As part of their total picture, of this eleven
unit motel they have the front building which is also used as a restau2mt,Vhen
they went Looking for a tenant for the restaumzt the tenant insisted upon also leasing
what was used as a residence for the motel operator, a small efficiency apartment
under the restaurant. So in trying to put the package together in their first year
of operation they conce&d h the request of this tenant of the restaurant who is going
to operate the restaurant on a year round basis. The did Lease to him the dntire
building, except for one small room which is used as an office. This left Mr. Jones
without a place to reside, being a small operation he was hogilto offer something
unique, different than the other motels and offer twentyfourAserviee for off highway
residents of people who would come in. I* makes it difficult for him1 to not have a
place to stay, he has been staying in the office in not very good accomdations.
The units are not efficiency units,it is not very handy for him to make over one of
those units, his plans are to construct an efficiency unit for himself on the premises
for the next season His application is for permission to put this 32' RV on the
premises for himself to use as a temporary residence white the motel is operating.
Presented a petition to the Town Board signed by W. and Mrs. Bovee and Mr. Roger Smith
residents near the area, no objection to the placement of a temporary RV. . .
Mr. Jones will install a seperate septic system for the RV. . .
Councilman Eisenhart- why are you putting in a new septic system what is wrong with
the one that serves the restaurant?
Mrs. Jones- that would be going up hill. . .
Mr. Morrell- Is it you intention to use the new septic system for the new
efficiency unit?
Mr. Jones-yes
Councilman Eisenhart- How Long will you need this for?
Mrs. Jones- Until the end of October. . .
Mrs. Monahan- I visited the site this afternoon and I want to compliment them on
the job that they have done over there and on their planting and Landscaping. . .
Mr. Olson- It is a big improvement over what was there.
Supervisor Walter- asked for further comments. . .none. . . .noted that on a temporary
permit no public hearing is necessary. . .
