3.4 FINANCIAU20231,Purchase—Generator From Stark for Town Hall Activities Center-Sourcewell—Undesignated Fund Balance AdvertisementBids for Installation-12-18 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF GENERATOR FROM STARK EQUIPMENT, LLC PER SOURCEWELL CONTRACT AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR GENERATOR INSTALLATION RESOLUTION NO. , 2023 INTRODUCED BY: WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Facilities Manager has requested approval to purchase a Generac Industrial Generator to service Town Hall and the Activities Center from Stark Equipment, LLC, a participating member of Sourcewell Contracting, for the total amount of $39,055 as set forth in Stark Equipment, LLC's 11/17/2023 Quote per Sourcewell Contract#: 092222-GNR, and WHEREAS, the New York State Legislature adopted legislation allowing any political subdivision in New York State to "piggyback" off an existing County/State Bid and therefore in this instance,the Town of Queensbury is "piggybacking"with Stark Equipment, LLC, and WHEREAS,the Town Board wishes to authorize such purchase, and WHEREAS, in accordance with General Municipal Law §103, the Town also wishes to advertise for bids for the Generator's future installation and award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder meeting New York State statutory requirements and the requirements set forth in bidding documents to be prepared by the Town, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Facilities Manager's purchase of a Generac Industrial Generator from Stark Equipment, LLC, a participating member of Sourcewell Contracting, for the total amount of $39,055 as set forth in Stark Equipment, LLC's 11/17/2023 Quote per Sourcewell Contract#: 092222-GNR in substantially the form presented at this meeting, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs that funding for such purchase shall be from the Town Office Complex Improvements Capital Project Fund 4203 and the Town Budget Officer shall take all actions necessary to effectuate payment, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Purchasing Agent to publish an advertisement for bids for the Generator installation services in the official newspaper for the Town, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Facilities Manager, Town Budget Officer and/or Town Purchasing Agent to take such other and further actions as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
