3.17 3.17 FINANCIAL/2023/Purchase Boiler Water Department—BPI-Lowest of Quotes—Transfer Fund Balance—12-18-2023 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT BOILER AT TOWN WATER TREATMENT PLANT FROM BPI MECHANICAL SERVICE RESOLUTION NO.: ,2023 INTRODUCED BY: WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Water Superintendent has advised that it is necessary to purchase and install a replacement boiler at the Town's Water Treatment Plant, and WHEREAS, the Water Superintendent requested and received three (3) quotes and the lowest quote is from BPI Mechanical Service dated Dec 8, 2023 for the base bid amount of$27,010.27, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Water Superintendent's purchase and installation of a replacement boiler at the Town's Water Treatment Plant from BPI Mechanical Service in accordance with its quote dated Dec 8, 2023 presented at this meeting for the base bid amount of $27,010.27 to be paid from Account No.: 040-8330-2001, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Budget Officer to take all actions necessary to amend the Town Budget and effectuate the transfer of $27,010.27 from the Water Department's Undesignated, Unassigned Fund Balance Account No.: 040-0000-0909 to Account No.: 040-8330-2001 to fund such purchase and installation, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Town Water Superintendent to sign any needed documentation, and the Town Supervisor, Town Water Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to take such other and further actions as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
