Section II Septic System Inspections:
A. All applications for septic system installation, alteration or repair, as
required by the Town of Queensbury Sanitary Sewage Ordinance, shall
be submitted to the Building Department at least 24 hours before start
of construction and shall include a plot plan showing:
1 .) the proposed location of the system
2.) location and distance to lot lines
3 .) location and distance to structures
4.) location and distance to any water supply
5.) size and dimensions of all tanks, distribution
boxes, tile fields and/or drywells
B. No system shall be covered before inspection and approval by the building
Inspector. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the
uncovering of the system by the installer and a fine of up to $250.00.
C. An approved copy of the plot plan shall be available on the construction
site. Failure to produce said plot plan at time of inspection may result
in an immediate work stoppage.
D. Should unforeseen problems during construction prevent proper installation,
alteration or repair of an approved system, a new proposal must be submitted
to the Queensbury Building Department before further construction.

I received your letter of 06/26/89 on 06/29 /89 pertaining to permit #87-301 .
I was in your office Friday, 06/30/89 requesting additional time to complete the
leach bed to my septic system . As you know, the rain and road conditions have been
unbearable . All final inspections have been completed on my home including electrical .
In mid May I was in your office and discussed this matter with your office personnel
and showed proof of final electrical inspection .
I , respectfully , request until 07/20/89 to complete the septic system .

Dear Mr. Barber:
Several weeks ago this department contacted you regarding final, inspection
of your home on Route 149, in the Town of Queensbury, at which time you informed
us you would be calling for final inspection within two (2) weeks.
Since final inspection is necessary before issuing a Certificate of Occupancy,
it is imperative that you arrange for a final inspection within the next seven (7)
days.
You must understand, Mr. Barber, that it is not the intent of this department
to allow occupancy without a Certificate of Occupancy. To do so is putting your
life and home in jeopardy should something, such as fire, etc. happen before obtaining
a Certificate of Occupancy, not to mention the legal ramifications involved.
If at the end of this seven (7) day period, you have not arranged for a final
inspection, this department will take whatever legal action necessary to bring about
compliance, including fines and an Order to Vacate if necessary.
