MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR(MEO) ON TEMPORARY BASIS

WHEREAS, Jermey Squires, is a current full-time Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) in the
Town's Cemetery Department, and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Superintendent recommends that the Town Board authorize the
temporary demotion of Jermey Squires from HEO to Motor Equipment Operation (MEO) until such
time that Mr. Squires obtains and maintains the required CDL license,but by no later than December
31 s, 2023, and
WHEREAS,the Town Board concurs with this recommendation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the temporary
demotion of Jermey Squires from Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) to Motor Equipment Operator
(MEO) in the Town Cemetery Department effective on or about December 19th, 2023 at the rate of
pay specified in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town and CSEA for the MEO
position, until such time that Mr. Squires obtains and maintains the required CDL license, but by no
later than December 31', 2023, at which time, contingent upon the obtaining and maintaining of the
required CDL license, Mr. Squires shall return to his position of HEO at the rate of pay for the HEO
position, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Cemetery Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action necessary
to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
