Dear Supervisor Strough &Town Board Councilmen:
This office represents Sun-ae Benson with respect to the pursuit of wastewater variances for a
replacement wastewater system installation at their property located at 371 Glen Lake Road.
Presently the 1-bedroom cottage is served by a 1,000-gallon concrete septic tank and a 4 ft x 4
ft drywell. During the property transfer inspection, it was discovered that the existing drywell is
within the 150 ft setback of a neighboring well. Given the terrain and site constraints, it is not
possible to install a compliant wastewater system.
We are proposing to install a new 10 ft wide by 25 ft long stone absorption bed in the southeast
corner of the property.
Relief is requested for the installation absorption field fill within 8.ft of the east property line
where 10 ft is required and within 6 ft of the structure where 20 ft is required. The existing
cottage is built on piers with a shallow crawl space.
Enclosed please find ten submission packages for this project. We respectfully request, if
possible, that this item be placed on the agenda of the next town board meeting. Please

WHEREAS, the Town Clerk's Office published the Notice of Public Hearing in the Town's
official newspaper and the Local Board of Health duty conducted a public hearing concerning the
variance request on Monday, January 22"d, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the Town Clerk's Office has advised that it duly notified all -property owners
within 500 feet of the subject property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that
1, due to the nature of the variances, the Local Board of Health determines that the
variances would not be materially detrimental to the purposes and objectives of this
Ordinance or other adjoining properties nor otherwise conflict with the purpose and
