Outline Specification
The scope of work for the project is as described herein.
Division 01 — General Conditions
Administrative work to be provided by the General Contractor(GC):
• Obtain and post the Building Permit.
• Coordinate building inspections by the Town of Queensbury as required.
• Coordinate testing of concrete, if required.
• Provide electrical inspections as required.
• Provide blower door tests, if required, and certify compliance.
• Obtain the Certificate of Occupancy from the Town of Queensbury.
Project Coordination
• The GC shall submit monthly applications for payment to the Owner. The Architect will review
upon request by the Owner.
• The GC shall correspond primarily with the Owner throughout the construction period for minor
coordination items. Significant changes to the materials or layout shall be reviewed with the
Architect to verify relevant Code compliance.
• The Architect shall be copied on correspondence with the Owner.
• The GC shall make submittals to the Architect for all certain materials furnished for the project
listed below. These submissions shall be made electronically. Material and color samples shall
be delivered to the Architect.
- Windows
- Exterior doors.
- Interior doors.
- Insulation materials.
- Wood siding and wood finish materials.
Allowances. The GC shall include an allowance to furnish and install the work identified on the
Allowance Schedule. If the work is modified or the materials/finishes changed, the cost of the work shall
be modified accordingly with approval of the Owner/Architect.
Materials Furnished By the Owner. The GC shall coordinate the installation the following materials,
equipment and/or appliances that will be furnished and delivered to the site by the Owner or their vendor.
Appliances:
1. Washer: front load washer.
2. Dryer: front-load gas-fired dryer.

Plumbing work shall be installed in accordance with the 2020 Residential Code of New York State,
Chapters 25 thru 32. Scope of work to include:
• Evaluate capacity of the existing gas-fired water heater to accommodate the addition and
alterations.
• Provide an exterior frost-proof spigot at each west side of each addition.

• Prior to commencing any work, the GC shall contact U.F.P.O. and the proper local authorities to
confirm the location of all existing utilities.
