RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT
FOR EXPENDITURE OF HIGHWAY MONEYS

WHEREAS, in accordance with New York State Highway Law §284, the Queensbury
Town Board wishes to authorize an Agreement between the Town Board and Town Highway
Superintendent for the Expenditure of Highway Moneys relative to moneys levied and collected in
the Town for the repair and improvement of highways and received from the State for State Aid
for the repair and improvement of highways,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes an
Agreement for the Expenditure of Highway Moneys between the Town Board and Town
Highway Superintendent relative to moneys levied and collected in the Town for the repair and
improvement of highways and received from the State for State Aid for the repair and
improvement of highways in form acceptable to the Town Board, Town Highway Superintendent,
Town Budget Officer and/or Town Counsel, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Board and Town Highway Superintendent to execute such Agreement, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor or
Deputy Town Supervisor to file a fully-executed original Agreement with the Queensbury Town Clerk
and the Warren County Department of Public Works and file copies of the fully-executed Agreement in
the offices of the Town Highway Superintendent and Town Budget Officer, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Deputy Town Supervisor, Town Highway Superintendent and/or Town Budget Officer to take such
other and further actions as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.

The 2024-25 State Budget provides funding to support the repair,rehabilitation,and modernization of local roads and
• bridges.-q-he-Budget-Inciudes$598.-1-million-ia•Consolidated.LocalStreet arid•Highway-Improvereent-Pregram-(CHIPS)-
• • funding,$150 million In PAVE-NY funding,and$100 million in Extreme Winter Recovery(EWR)funding and$100 million in
Pave Our Potholes(POP).Also included are reappropriations of rollover funds remaining from previous State fiscal year
CHIPS,PAVE-NY,EWR and POP appropriations.Please provide a copy of this letter to the chief financial officer for your
municipality.The next quarterly SFY 2024-25 CHIPS,PAVE-NY,EWR and POP reimbursements are'scheduled to be made on June 26,
2024.Requests for the June payments must be for expenditures made on or after December26,2022 through May 17,2024.
Refer to the Program Guidelines on the CHIPS website (www.dotnv.aovlprouramslchips) regarding eligible project
activities and program requirements.The Town of Queensbury has the following funding amounts available for the June
payments.

and keep a copy of the completed forms for your files.Your NYSDOT municipal code for entry on the forms is 170697.
Municipalities may mail or e-mail their Documentation Checklists, reimbursement request forms, and supporting
documentation to their NYSDOT Region.Guidance for e-mail submissions may be obtained on the CHIPS website.Contact

Agreement for the Expenditure of Highway Moneys
AGREEMENT between the Town Highway Superintendent of the Town of Queensbury,
Warren County,New York, and the undersigned members of the Town Board.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 284 of the Highway Law, we agree that moneys
levied and collected in the Town for the repair and improvement of highways, and received from
the State for State Aid for the repair and improvement of highways, shall be expended as
follows:
1. GENERAL REPAIRS. The total sum of$833,370.79 shall be set aside to be expended
for primary work and general repairs upon 371 miles of Town highways as listed in
paragraph 2 below, including sluices, culverts and bridges having a span of less than five
feet and boardwalks or renewals thereof.
2. PERMANENT IMPROVEMENTS. Total funds not exceeding $833,370.79 shall be set
aside to be expended for the permanent improvement of Town highways:
(A) On the road commencing at Peggy Ann Rd and leading to Walton Ct to
Wintergreen Rd a distance of.8 miles.
