In cases where a sewage disposal system is needed for temporary usage while building or repairing permanent facilities or for seasonal operation, the • use of a holding.tank will be considered, on-a Ga-se-by--c-a-se- basis. Holding tanks however, will not be allowed for year round usage on a permanent basis except for replacement of existing systems when no other alternative will meet existing design standards. B. The design and installation of a holding tank and alarm system shal t comply with the following specifications. 1) The holding tank shall be a watertight precast concrete septic tank, without outlets, with a watertight- sealant material for joints below the maximum water level . -she tank shall also be equipped with a two- phase alarm system. Refer to Figures 2 and 3 for the details and specifications required. 2) The holding tank capacity must be equal to at least twice the volume of waste generated between anticipated removal dates.
