273.2024 Authorizing Asphalt Paving Work at Pine View Cemetery by Peckham Industries, Inc RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ASPHALT PAVING WORK AT PINE VIEW CEMETERY BY PECKHAM INDUSTRIES, INC. RESOLUTION NO.: 273, 2024 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Harrison Freer WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr.Anthony Metivier WHEREAS, the New York State Legislature adopted legislation allowing any political subdivision in New York State to"piggyback"off an existing County Bid, and WHEREAS, the Town's Cemetery Superintendent has requested Town Board approval to engage Peckham Industries, Inc. (Peckham) for asphalt paving work at the Pine View Cemetery by the Town "piggybacking"with Warren County in accordance with Warren County Heavy Highway Construction Bid #WC 62-21 as set forth in Peckham's Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Estimate dated 6/20/24 for an amount not to exceed$32,884.52, and WHEREAS, the Town Cemetery Commission has offered to fund such work, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board approves and authorizes engagement of Peckham Industries,Inc. (Peckham)for asphalt paving work at the Pine View Cemetery by the Town "piggybacking" with Warren County in accordance with Warren County Heavy Highway Construction Bid #WC 62-21 as set forth in Peckham's Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Estimate dated 6/20/24 in the form substantially presented at this meeting for an amount not to exceed$32,884.52 to be paid from Misc. Contractual —002-8810-4400, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the acceptance of payment from the Town Cemetery Commission to fund such work in the amount of$32,884.52, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED,that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to amend the Town Budget by: • Increasing Appropriation—Misc. Contractual —002-8810-4400 by $32,885; • Increasing Revenue—Misc. Revenue—002-0000-52770 by $32,885; and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor/Deputy Supervisor to sign any needed documentation and the Town Supervisor/Deputy Supervisor, Cemetery Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to take all such other and further actions as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
