ATTN: Sam 39 Saratoga Road Ganesvoort, NY RE: Howard Abare Permit #91-863 Sir, Regarding our telephone conversation today: As I stated; in - my opinion, the single smoke detector in it's present location, would not be audible in the furthermost sleeping room. Your agreement to place a second detector indicates your interest in life-safety. Thank you.-- I have allowed the added detector to be battery operated in that the home was inspected by another agency during construction. I shall notify this agency of my concern by copy of this letter. I suggest you might forward a copy to the manufacturer. They may well . decide to rethink the locations of the detectors. The home would be better protected with a heat/smoke detector nearer the cooking area and another in the corridor to the sleeping rooms. The benefits of two units would far outweigh the small added cost. Regardless of the outcome of these suggestions, I would like to thank you again for your cooperation. Sincerely, 16.1 Vic Lefebvre C.E.O. Town of Queensbury Building & Codes VL:se Encl. cc:HUD T` - -Bldg:_PermitFile-_ "HOME OF NATURAL BEAUTY. . .
