DISCUSSION HELD- COUNCILMAN ROBERTSON- THIS WILL ENCOMPASS SOME AREAS
_ THAT ARE ADJACENT TO THE TWO MAINS THAT RUN DOWN BIG BAY AND BIG BOOM
~ ROADS-THERE ARE ALSO SOME OTHER AREAS IN THE TOWN THAT ARE ON THE
FRINGES OF THE PRESENT WATER DIST. WHICH THERE IS REALLY NO WAY WE
CAN EXTEND SERVICE ECONOMICALLY UNDER THE NORMAL EXTENSION OF THE
DISTRICT. THE TAX RATE WOULD BE SXTREME.LY- HIGH , B0'7 WE FEEL THAT
WE COULD REACH THESE AREAS POSSIBLY IF WE GOT THE AID AS OUTLINED
IN THE APPLICATION. THEY ARE BASICALLY VERY SMALL EXTENSIONS. . .
COUNCILMAN OLSON- QUESTIONED IF THIS GRANT/LOAN COULD BE USED
IN ENGINEERING STUDIES IN THE PROPOSED EXTENSION OF WATER TO
PORTIONS OF WEST MOUNTAIN ROAD. . .
COUNCILMAN ROBERTSON-I DO NOT THINK SO, THIS IS FOR A SPECIFIC EXTENSION
106
TO A SPECIFIC AREA WHICH CANNOT OTHERWISE BE REACHED ECONOMICALLY .
COUNCILMAN MORRELL- ASKED THAT THE AREA BE DESCRIBED IN THE RESOLUTION
AS THE AREAS OF BIG BAY AND BIG Boom. . . AGREED TO BY THE ENTIRE BOARD. . .

CHEAPER. IT STARTED GOING UP APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AGO. . .THE ONLY
INDICATION I GOT IN TALKING WITH THE DIFFERENT BANKS AND READING
IT IN THE PAPER THAT MORTGAGE MONEY IS GETTING VERY EXPENSIVE.
MR. DEMARS , DO YOU HAVE ANY INDICATION OF WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS?
MR. DEMARS- ALL I CAN SAY IS, YOU CAN CONFIRM - MY APPLICATIONS

COUNCILMAN ROBERTSON- THAT IS NOT THE REAL PROBLEM , THE QUESTION IS
WHAT DO WE DO A YEAR FROM NOW , IF WHEN THE SAME STORY HOLDS TRUE,, WHICH
IT APPARENTLY DOESJWHICH ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT IT IS NOT GOING TO GET
ANY CHEAPER.
MR. DEMARS- THAT WOULD BE ENTIRELY UP TO YOU.
COUNCILMAN ROBERTSON-IT IS , BUT IT WAS LAST YEAR AND WE ARE BACK

DISCUSSION HELD BEFORE VOTE :
COUNCILMAN ROBERTSON- I WILL REPEAT MY STATEMENT OF LAST YEAR , THE
PROBLEM IS NOT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED FINANCIALLY.
THE GENTLEMEN HAS A PROBLEM, WE ALL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH RlIINC%j' INTEREST
RATES, IT WILL BE NO BETTER NEXT YEAR THEN IT IS THIS YEAR. THE QUESTION
THIS BOARD HAS TO ASK .I`TSELF '_ 7 IS ( A ) HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO KEEP ON
GRANTING TEMPORARY PERMITS AND ( B ) WHAT DOES IT DO AT THE END OF THAT
_ ,_T-.I - DOES GO TO A PERMANENT ONE IN WHICH CASE
IT DOESN' T MEET THE REQUIREMENTS AND SOME OF THE OTHER STANDARDS THAT
WE HAVE REQUIRED OF A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE , WHICH IS A 1974 MOBILE HOME. . .
SUPERVISOR WALTER- MR. DEMARS, WE HAVE REVIEWED THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING
LAST YEAR, YOU WERE PRESENT AT THAT TIMED IT WAS STATED BY THE BOARD
THAT YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT IT WOULD ONLY BE A ONE YEAR PERMIT , THAT
THERE WOULD BE NO EXTENSION.
COUNCILMAN MORRELL- IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE , LETS SAY LAST SEPTEMBER' THIS
COULD HAVE BEEN INDICATED, THE DIFFICULTIES THAT YOU WERE GOING THROUGH,
RATHER THEN TO WAIT TO THE EXPIRATION OF THE TEMPORARY PERMIT TO FILE
FOR ANOTHER ONE.
MR. DEMARS- I THINK IT IS ALMOST LIKE FORCASTING A BUDGET IT IS VERY
HARD. . .
COUNCILMAN MORRELL- IF YOU HAD NOT STARTED CONSTRUCTION BY SEPTEMBER,
AND YOU SAID ACCORDING TO THE MINUTES THAT IT WOULD BE COMPLETED WITHIN
A YEARN WOULD FIND IT RATHER AMAZING THAT YOU HAVE GOTTEN THAT MUCH
WORK DONE IN SO SHORT A TIME, IF CONSTRUCTION WAS NOT EVEN STARTED.
