4.07 4.7 APPOINTMENTS\Facilities Manager-Michael Gresens—NonUnion—10-21-2024 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF MICHAEL GRESENS AS FACILITIES MANAGER IN BUILDING AND GROUNDS DEPARTMENT RESOLUTION NO. 12024 INTRODUCED BY: WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Facilities Manager in the Building and Grounds Department has plans to submit his retirement effective on or about January 31, 2025, and WHEREAS, the Town Board posted and advertised for the soon-to-be vacant position, conducted interviews and wish to authorize the hiring of Michael Gresens as Facilities Manager effective on or about November 4t', 2024 to provide ample time for Mr. Gresens to learn from and work alongside the current Facilities Manager to help ensure a continuity of operations in the Building and Grounds Department, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of Michael Gresens as Facilities Manager effective on or about November 4t',2024 subject to the Town successfully completing a pre-employment physical and background checks as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, drug and/or alcohol screening,an executed offer of employment letter dated October 10, 2024 between the Town and Mr. Gresens, and Mr. Gresens' successful completion of a six (6) month probationary period, with such hiring to be on a provisional basis until such time as Mr. Gresens meets all Civil Service requirements for the position, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED,that Mr. Gresens shall be paid an annual salary of$85,000, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Facilities Manager and/or Town Budget Officer to complete and file any documentation and take such other and further actions necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
