• Reviewed the history of the Pool at Gurney Lane, stating that it appears to have a leak.
First bidding for proposed upgrades to the pool did not receive any bids. Two proposals
were received on a lesser upgrade, Rozell Industries was the lowest bidder...estimated
cost of repairs $34,900. Work to begin immediately, hope that during excavation the
leak will be found and corrected. Due to time constraints some upgrades may have to
be done in the early fall.
• spoke to the Board regarding a situation at the West End Park, in appropriate language
being used , will contact the police to patrol the area. Spoke about other sites that area
youths have been causing damage, will also have the police patrol those parks.
• Asked the Board to consider hiring a part time person, laborer at $15,000 for the
summer 26 to 30 weeks..Board agreed will consider reinstating a full time person in the
upcoming budget.
• Asked to purchase a small mower using the money received in the auction to cover the
cost of$1,500.00. Board agreed.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENGAGEMENT OF ROZELL
INDUSTRIES FOR GURNEY LANE POOL REPAIRS

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Recreation Commission and Director of Parks and
Recreation (Director) have advised the Town Board that there is a major leak at the Gurney Lane Pool and
therefore the Director requested proposals from contractors to provide needed Pool repairs, and
WHEREAS, the Director requested proposals for such needed repair work and of the two (2)
proposals received, Rozell Industries submitted the lowest, most suitable proposal for an amount not to
exceed $34,900, and
WHEREAS, the Director and Recreation Commission have recommended Town Board
authorization to engage the services of Rozell Industries, and

WHEREAS,by prior Resolution and Agreement the Queensbury Town Board provided in the Town
Budget for the Town's receipt of occupancy tax revenues from Warren County in accordance with the Local
Tourism Promotion and Convention Development Agreement (Agreement) entered into between the Town
and Warren County,and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides that specific expenditure of the funds provided under the
Agreement are subject to further Resolution of the Queensbury Town Board, and
WHEREAS,the Town Board wishes to authorize provision of such funds in the amount of$34,900
to be transferred into the Gurney Lane Capital Project Fund 9157 to fund the needed pool repairs as the
Gurney Lane Pool and Recreation Area attract a significant number of people to the Town of Queensbury and
the general community,thereby serving as an economic development tool for tourism in Queensbury and the
surrounding area,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED,that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs engagement of Rozell
Industries to make needed repairs at the Gurney Lane Pool for an amount not to exceed$34,900,and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the expenditure of
$34,900 in funds for payment for such repairs from Warren County occupancy tax revenues received by the
Town contingent upon the Town Budget Officer confirming that the Town has unallocated occupancy tax
funds available from Warren County, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to amend the
Town Budget and take all actions necessary to transfer $34,900 from Account No.: 050-6410-4412 to the
Gurney Lane Capital Project Fund#157,Capital Construction Account 157-7110-2899,and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute
any necessary forms or agreements related to this project and further authorizes and directs the Town
Supervisor, Director of Parks and Recreation and/or Budget Officer to take all action necessary to effectuate
the terms of this Resolution.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF CHRISTOPHER SWINTON
AS TEMPORARY, SEASONAL LABORER IN HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent has requested Town Board authorization to hire a
temporary,seasonal Laborer to work for the Town's Highway Department,
WHEREAS, funds for such position have been budgeted for in the Town Budget,and
WHEREAS,the Highway Superintendent has advised the Town Board that such temporary,seasonal
Laborer is Christopher Swinton,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of
Christopher Swinton to work as a temporary, seasonal Laborer for the Town Highway Department
commencing on or about May 6d`, 2013 and concluding on or about November 22nd, 2013, subject to the
Town successfully completing a pre-employment physical and background check as reasonably necessary
to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, and drug and/or alcohol screenings,and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that such temporary, seasonal Laborer shall be paid $10.00 per hour as set forth in
Town Board Resolution No.: 53,2013 to be paid from the appropriate payroll account,and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Highway Superintendent,
Deputy Highway Superintendent, Town Budget Officer and/or Town Supervisor to complete any forms and
take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.

Councilman Brewer-Feeder Dam park is in the need of lighting, will confirm the pole number
and ask for a resolution to install the light. At the Feeder Dam Park off Richardson Street I have
asked Highway Supt. Mike Travis to explore the idea of placing speed bumps at the entrance
and exit to the park.
Supervisor Montesi-Asked that a Councilman attend a meeting a SUNY Adirondack regarding
the banning of plastic bags in the Town...Councilman Metivier said he would attend.
Supervisor Montesi-Jamie White will be coming in for an interview for the Planning Board, also
considering her for gathering information at Dunhams Bay regarding septic issues. Councilman
Metivier noted that he would be in favor of Ms. White for this project.
Board raised a question regarding piping being laid on Sweet Road, will have Engineer Chris
Harrington check this out.
Supervisor Montesi-Presented the Board with a map of areas of 20 acres or more regarding a
proposal for a horse farm, will review and present a zoning change...
Councilman Metivier-Spoke to the Board regarding large trucks using Ridge Road for the
dredging project. Supervisor Montesi-will look into this, they may be able to use another route.
