RE: Roof between buildings
Dear Mr. Hess:
In regard to your letter. of February 22., 1984 and
subsequent conversation regarding an attached roof
between an existing building and a newly constructed
building, the purpose of which is to cover a loading
dock area, the use of non-combustable materials for
said construction would certainly be acceptable to
the Queensbury Building Department as meeting fire
safety regulations.
Thank you for your cooperation and should you have
any further questions, please' feel . free to contact
me.
Yours truly,
--Aeede

Dear Mack:
In your letter of February 1, 1984 to Joe Mulcahy, you in-
dicated there should be a 24-inch distance between the new
building and the loading dock roof.
If we remove the existing loading dock roof, is there any
other fire-safe way that we can cover the space between the
original building and the new one so as to cover the vehicles
with a "carport" type of roof? Would a metal roof or some
other fire-rated material be acceptable and eliminate the
need for a 24-inch space?
We are anxious to finish our current project and at the same
time be as fire-safe as possible.
Sincerely yours ,
Donald E. Hess, Jr.
