Councilman Olson- noted that he had inspected the road, noted that he felt that
there were drainage problems, questioned the amount of gravel on the road. . .noted
deep ruts in the proposed roadway—
Councilman Morrell- I inspected the road, took photographs which show erosion
of the land that is there, I suspect that it is filling in the storm sewers. . .
concerned about the drainage. . .

the Highway Committee and the Highway Supt. -.,, meet with the developer and outline

Discussion held:
Councilman Eisenhart- are we going to have a town tax in 1982?
Deputy Supervisor Robertson- yes
Councilman Eisenhart- why are we turning over $100,000. 00 to the County?
Deputy Supervisor Robertson- that is the Budget Officers Recommendation and this
board went along with this as a portion of the budget. . . . it is a trade off,
you can have your county tax jump and have a lesser town tax or you give part
to the Town and part to the County, that was the election that the Town Budget
Officer made.
Councilman MorreZZ- Does this mean that we are anticipating One Million Dollars
in Sales Tax Revenue?
Deputy Supervisor Robertson- It is basically higher than that, it could be more,
Mrs. Walter was being conservative in this area. . .

Deputy Supervisor Robertson- no, the tax rate onZy appZies in the district,
the revenues of the water dept. are divided into two categories, the operating
costs and the second part is the Statutory debt. .we have tried very hard to
say that the taxes paid for the bonded indebtness and interest and the operating
cost were raised on water rent, that has not aZways been the case, infZdtion
has caught us, the power costs are going up etc. we have not quite baZanced the
