Dear Mr. Robertson: 11
At the April 24th meeting of the Recreation Commission, the quest
of a full time recreation director was discussed. The Commission feels
that ample time is needed to find the best person for this position. To
provide us with this time, it is recommended that a part-time person be
hired until a quality full-time person is employed.
In reviewing 20 applications received as a result of our firtt
advertisement in the Post-Star. The Commission recommends that John
LaBombard be hired to =i 1T temporary part-time Director' s position.
The part-time person should start work as of May 1, 1978. Several
urgent items need attention: (1) summer personnel need to be hired; (2) j
supplies for the summer program need to be ordered; and (3) softball leagues
have to be organized. It is recommended that Mr. Cederstrom be retained
for the month of May at his regular salary to work with Mr. LaBombard. The
Commission suggest that Mr. LaBombard be paid a salary of $300 per month
