WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Tax Receiver has recommended that the Town Board
engage the services of Business Automation Services, Inc., relating to an internet tax system whereby
the general public will be able to view updated tax bills and payment history online and/or make tax
payments via credit cards and/or eChecks(ACH)to be received by the Queensbury Tax Receiver, and
WHEREAS, Town Counsel has reviewed the proposed system and has determined that it is in
accordance with the Town's internal procurement policies and procedures, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board believes it to be in the public interest to authorize such services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the
engagement of the services of Business Automation Services, Inc., relating to an internet tax system
whereby the general public will be able to view updated tax bills and payment history online and/or
make tax payments via credit cards and/or eChecks (ACH) to be received by the Queensbury Tax
Receiver, and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Clerk and/or Town
Supervisor to execute any documents necessary to effectuate this Resolution including the execution of
contracts with subsidiaries or related entities of Business Automation Services, Inc., and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
execute any needed Agreement in form acceptable to the Town Supervisor, Tax Receiver and/or Town
Counsel, and authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Tax Receiver and/or Town Counsel to take
such other and further action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
