General Asbestos Containing Material "Asbestos containing materials", as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is any material containing more than 1% asbestos as determined using the method specified in Appendix E, Subpart E, 40 CFR Part 763, Section 1, Polarized Light USEPA ASHARA protocols for Microscopy. Bulk.samples Were collected in accordance with number and types of samples. Materials easily crushed or pulverized by hand pressure are considered friable.
