SEP'CIC SYSTEM GENERAL NOTES:
1. SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED IN WET OR FROZEN SOIL.
2. THERE SHALL BE NO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC OVER THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION, THE AREA OF THE SYSTEM
SHALL BE STAKED OUT AND FENCED OFF.
3. THE SANITARY DISPOSAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN DESIGNED IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE OF `APPENDIX 75-A, WASTE TREATMENT -
INDIVIDUAL HOUSEHOLD SYSTEMS, NEW YORK STATE SANITARY CODE".
4. CELLAR, ROOF, AND FOOTING DRAINS SHALL NOT BE DISCHARGED INTO THE SEPTIC SYSTIM OR IN THE VICINITY OF THE ABSORPTION
FIELD.
5. THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN DESIGNED TO ACCOMODATE GARBAGE GI:;INDERS OR WATER SOFTENER BACKWASH.
6. HOUSE SEWERS ARE LAID ON FIRM FOUNDATION AT A MINIMUM GRADE OF ONE-QUARTER INCH PER FOOT PREFERABLY WITHOUT
BENDS. AT LEAST ONE CLEANOUT WITH A PROPERLY FITTED PLUG IS TO BE PROVIDED. THE HOUSE SEWER SHALL ALLOW FOR VENTING OF
GASES FROM THE SEWAGE SYSTEM.
7. HOUSE SEWER CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING MATERIALS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE REQUIREMENT OF THE PLUMBING CODE
OE NEW YORK STATE.
8. A MINIMUM HORIZONTAL SEPARATION OF 10 FEET SHOULD EXIST BETWEEN THE HOUSE SEWER AND ANY WATER LINE. WHERE LINES
MUST CROSS, THE WATER SERVICE LINE SHALL BE AT LEAST 12 INCHES ABOVE THE HOUSE SEWER. IF A WATER LINE MUST PASS BELOW
THE HOUSE SEWER, THE VERTICAL SEPARATION MUST BE AT LEAST 18 INCHES.
9. SUCTION WATERLINES SHALL NEVER CROSS UNDER HOUSE SEWERS OR ANY OTHER COMPONENT OF THE SEWAGE SYSTEM.
10. ANY CHANGE IN DIRECTION GREATER THAN 22.5° OF HOUSE SEWED PIPE WILL REQUIRE A CLEANOUT.
11. CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION. NOTIFY ENGINEER OF ANY
DISCREPANCIES.
12. CONTRACTOR TO FIELD LOCATE ALL EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION FOR COORDINATION WITH NEW
