RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF VERONICA STILLMAN AS PART-TIME CEMETERY CLERK RESOLUTION NO.: 399, 2014 INTRODUCED BY: Mr.William VanNess WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Doug Irish WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury Cemetery Commission and Cemetery Superintendent have requested Town Board authorization to hire Veronica Stillman to fill the vacant, part-time permanent Cemetery Clerk position, and WHEREAS, Town Policy requires that familial relationships must be disclosed and the Town Board must approve the appointment of Town employees' relatives and Ms. Stillman is the wife of Gary Stillman, Deputy Fire Marshal, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of Veronica Stillman as the part-time, permanent Cemetery Clerk effective on or about November 21St 2014, not to exceed 25 hours per week, subject to Ms. Stillman's successful passing of a pre- employment physical as required by Town Policy and completion of a six (6) month probationary period, and contingent upon the Town successfully completing background checks as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired and drug and/or alcohol screening, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Ms. Stillman shall be paid $12.50 per hour during the probation period, with such hourly rate increasing to $13.50 after her successful completion of such probation period, and SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING, 11-19-2014, MTG 441 422 BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to amend the Non-Management/Non-Union Salary Schedule, previously adopted by Town Board Resolution No.: 462,2013, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Cemetery Superintendent and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
