SUBMITTED BY WARREN COUNTY AND INVOLVING

WHEREAS, the New York State Legislature has established a `Truss Notification
System' which requires that structures with Truss Roofs be identified and that information on the
location of structures with Truss Roofs be collected by local Building and Codes Departments
and that such information be made available to Emergency Response personnel, and
WHEREAS, the Warren County GIS Coordinator will be submitting a Shared Services
GIS Grant application seeking funding through the New York State Archives Local Records
Management Improvement Fund that will be used to identify and collect data concerning the
locations of Truss Roofs throughout Warren County, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury Building and Codes Department along with the
Town of Queensbury GIS Administrator will provide data and technical services to Warren
County as part of implementation of the `Truss Notification System', and
WHEREAS, Truss Roof and other property information will be collected by the Town of
Queensbury and provided to Warren County for distribution to Emergency Response personnel
as required by the `Truss Notification System' adopted by the New York State Legislature, and

WHEREAS, Truss Roof and other property information collected by the Town of
Queensbury, along with technical services to be provided to Warren County, are listed as shared
services in the Warren County sponsored New York State Archives Local Records Management
Improvement Fund application, and
WHEREAS, the Warren County GIS Coordinator has requested a Resolution supporting
the Shared Services GIS Grant application,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby expresses its support of Warren
County's submission of a New York State Archives Local Records Management Improvement
Fund grant application that will provide for the collection and distribution of the location of
Structures with Truss Roofs in the Town of Queensbury and throughout Warren County, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
sign any documentation and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
