Project Description:
Applicant proposes to use an existing 128 sq. ft. room with a separate entrance as a Hair salon in home.
Staff Comments
The applicant proposes to utilize 128 sq. ft. room in an existing home to operate a single chair hair studio. The
applicant has indicated there will be a separate access provided to the business. The plans submitted show the
location of the salon with a new entry door, a designated parking area, and a sign. The information about the
signage indicates it will be double sided and contain no lighting. The applicant has indicated there are no other
changes proposed to the site or building
The applicant has indicated hours of operation are by appointments only. The floor plan is for one hair wash
sink and a chair for hair styling.
The applicant has requested waivers from some of the site plan items. This includes G. lighting, J. stormwater,
K. topography, L. landscaping, N. traffic, 0. new construction /alteration details, P. Floor plan, Q Soil logs, R.
disposal of construction/demolition waste, S. snow removal.
Summary
The applicant has completed a site plan application for use of a 128 sq. ft. room as a salon in an existing home.
