You may recall, we were before the Zoning Board of Appeals on May 27, 2015, at which time the application was tabled. Since that meeting, the Queensbury Consolidated Water District has been extended to include the entire parent parcel. Therefore, public water service is available for all proposed lots. Additionally, the highway department has agreed to a 20' asphalt road section, which will reduce impermeable surfaces considerably. Concern had been expressed at prior meetings about potential drainage and groundwater problems in the area. On May 1, 2015, seven deep soils test pits were excavated and inspected in the presence of the Chazen Companies representative. Soils were confirmed to be deep well- drained sands with no evidence of groundwater observed in any of the test excavations.
