The tops of foundation walls at both sites were in good condition with no signs of distress. During the course of new block installation, photographs were reviewed verifying that, at a minimum, installation progressed as originally designed. In addition to minimum design requirements, additional reinforcing dowels were drilled and grouted into the foundation walls and #5 bars were installed in the block cores — all new block cores were filled solid with grout. The work has been completed above and beyond the minimum design requirements and with final inspection complete, is acceptable.
