RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF CYNTHIA VANDENBURGH
AS PART-TIME COURT OFFICER

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Justices have advised that they wish to hire a part-time
Town Court Officer on an "as needed" basis at the Town of Queensbury's Justice Court due to the
impending retirement of one of their current part-time Court Officers, and
WHEREAS, the Town Justices have recommended that the Town Board hire Cynthia
VanDenburgh in such position, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board concurs with such hiring recommendation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes, directs and ratifies the
hiring of Cynthia VanDenburgh as a part-time Court Officer on an "as needed" basis at the hourly
rate of pay of $16.00 as set forth in Town Board Resolution No.: 36,2016, subject to Ms.
VanDenburgh passing a pre-employment physical as required by Town Policy and the Town
successfully completing a background check as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the
duties for which hired and/or drug and/or alcohol screenings, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes payment in the amount of$25.89 per
service to Ms. VanDenburgh for service of any paper required by Town Court or any Town of
Queensbury Department, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Justices, Court Clerks and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any necessary forms and take any
actions necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
