Dear Sir.
This letter serves to inform you of my septic system inspection and corresponding as-built septic plan
for the above referenced project. The as-built plan is attached.
Separation distances to the creek and wetland area were measured. The distance to the creek from the
closest leach line is 127'. The wetland area shown on your sketch provided to me last week via fax is
confusing and I don't believe was sketched properly as shown on your plan. I tried to locate this wetland
area depicted by DI,D2,D3, D4 in the field in relation to your sketch and could not locate it. I did find
a pond type formation located between the new garage and stream at 55' from the garage. This area
more closely resembles the wetland area size as shown on your sketch. The distance from this wetland
area is 100'.
In my professional opinion,the new septic system was properly constructed and should be approved for
residential use as intended.

New Changes to Residential Building Code effective January 1, 2011
New driveway requirements for structures located over 300 feet from main road
Spray foams are allowed to be exposed in rim joist box area only, must be covered by 15 minute
thermal barrier all other areas
Protection against decay requirements (see attached)
Landings are no longer required on the outside of secondary doorways less than three risers
provided no doors swing over steps
Vent stacks must be 18 inches minimum above roof for all structures
New Electrical Requirements
Arc fault breakers required in all habitable spaces for receptacles.
GFI protection for all other receptacles in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and unfinished basements
All receptacles must be tamper resistant
Carbon Monoxide detectors must be located within 15 feet of sleeping area
All corrugated stainless steel piping must be bonded to the common ground for electrical service
