To Whom it May Concern,
It has come to my attention that there is a concern as to whether the recent repair work at
Six Flags Great Escape included any modifications to the structural design.As the material
supplier for the original and replacement beams, I can assure you that this was not the case.
Unalam designed and manufactured the original structure (Unalam Job Number 5785 from
2004-2005.)The replacement parts produced in 2014 (as Unalam Job Number 8163) were
manufactured from copies of shop drawings from the original project.
There was no change to species, material grade, or size of the glulam pieces. There was no
change to beam end connections -the original connection steel was reused, and the beams
fabricated to match. In no way was the design altered from the original 2005 work.
