Dear Mr. Garb :
In keeping with our aims toward Town beautification, the
West Mountain Garden Club has devoted much time and effort in the
past years to the maintaining and planting; of the two triangles and
circle of green areas in Westland.
Over the past few winters considerable damage has been done
to the blacktop curbing around these areas . We woulo be grateful
if the Town would do it' s part to repair this damage so that we may
continue to do our part in helping to beautify Queensb-ury.
Any consideration you may give this matter would certainly
be appreciated.
Very truly yours,

cent of the educational dollar. . .need to ask the state for a more
tolerable funding formula that takes the burden off local taxpayers

CEMETERY COMTISSION
Town of Queensbury April 11, 1974
TO: Town Board, Queensbury
FROM: Cemetery Commission
SUBJECT: Sale of Pine View Property
The Town Board, having indicated an interest in selling a
parcel of Town owned land adjacent to the Regan & Denny Funeral
Home property, and fronting on Quaker Road, has asked the Cemetery
Commission for its opinion on this proposed sale.
Members of the Commission have examined the site and it is the
opinion of this Board that the property in question would not be
suitable for burial purposes . It would, therefore, be the opinion of the
Commission that such a conveyance, if made with appropriate restrictions
to protect the interest of Pine View Cemetery and the community, would be
acceptable to us.
We would expect that the proper percentage of the purchase price
be applied to our Pineview Cemetery Perpetual Care fund and we would
hope that at least a part of the balance be used for improving; the
Pineview Cemetery property.
Sincerely,
/s/
Chairman,
Cemetery Commission
