RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING
RESOLUTION NO. 132, Introduced by Mr. Gordon Streeter who moved its
adoption, seconded by Mr. Daniel Olson:
WHEREAS, George Hack has made application in accordance with paragraph
2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled
ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS
IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile
home outside at property situated at Pasco Avenue, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies with
the requiremslits of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this
board, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance,
the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said application on
June 13, 1974 at 7 :30 P.M. in the Queensbury Town Office Building, Bay
Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give
proper notice of said public hearing in accordance with the provisions
of said ordinance.

RESOLUTION NO. 134, Introduced by Mr. Robert Barber, who moved its

WHEREAS application has been made by Albany International Corporation
for the rezoning of property in the Town of Queensbury described hereafter
in Schedule A from R-4 Residential to M-1 Industrial Zone and of property
in the Town of Queensbury described hereafter in Schedule B from M-1
Industrial to R-4 Residential:

ALL THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND situate in the Town of Queensbury,
Warren County, New York, and lying approximately 500 feet east of the Ridge
Road and approximately 800 feet south of the Quaker Road in said town,
and which parcel is bounded and described as follows :
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of those lands conveyed
by Doris Brower as executor of the Last Will and Testament of Pearl
Hubbell, deceased, to Broughton Corporation by deed dated September 30, 1972
and recorded October 11, 1972, in Warren County Clerk' s Office, in Book
558 of Deeds at Page 319, and which point of beginning is situate at a
distance of 494. 05 feet on a course of South 64 degrees 19 minutes east
from the southwesterly corner of said parcel lying in the easterly bounds
of the Ridge Road, running thence from the place of beginning, north 35 degrees
08 minutes 30 seconds east for a distance of 83.28 feet to an angle point
in the southerly bounds of said lands conveyed by Hubbell to Broughton
Corporation; thence south 80 degrees 56 minutes 40 seconds east, along
said southerly line, for a distance of 714 feet to an iron pipe marking
the northwest,rorner of a parcel of land conveyed by William Maurer to
Margaret B. Crockwell by deed dated March 22, 1956, and recorded in Book
352 of Deeds at page 253; thence south 21 degrees 54 minutes west for a
distance of 663. 66 feet to an iron pipe marking the southwest corner of
said lands conveyed to Margaret B. Crockwell; thence north 82 degrees 19
minutes 30 seconds west, along the northerly line of other lands of'Margaret
B. Crockwell, for a distance of 873. 33 feet to an iron pipe set at the
corner of a wire fence; thence north 33 degrees 31 minutes 30 seconds east,
through the lands of the party of the first part here-to and partly along
a wire fence and hedge row, for a distance of 651. 83 feet to the place of
beginning and containing 11. 94 acres.

WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of eensbury, Section 11. 100, and
Town Law of the State of New York, Sections 2r, and 265, provide that any
proposed amendment or change in the Zoning Ordinance be referred to the
Planning Board for a report thereon and a public hearing to be held thereon,
and
WHEREAS, the said application has been referred toc.'the Town Planning Board
and the Warren County Planning Board, and said Boards have rendered their
report to the Town Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that a phblit hearing on such application be held by the Town
Board on Thursday, June 13, 197 ', at 7: 30 P.m D.S.T. at the Town Office
Building, Bay and Haviland Roads in the Town of Queensbury, and that
notice thereof be published at least ten (10) days in advance of such
hearing in the official town newspapers, and be it further

ject property be notified of the hearing by mail.

WHEREAS, Thomas Flaherty, Water Superintendent did recommend that
we advertise for bids for Water Dept. materials for 1974 installations
Spec. No. 74-1 and Spec. No. 74-2 and
WHEREAS, 6 bids were received and turned over to Mr. Flaherty for his
recommendation, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that upon Mr. Flaherty' s request the Town Board accept the
low bid from LeValley McLeod for Spec. 74-1 and the low bid from
Martisco Inc. for Spec 74-2;!

RESOLUTION OF CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOWN OF BOLTON
RESOLUTION NO. 136 introduced by Mr. Austin, who moved its adoption,
seconded by Mr.
Ti WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury once comprised all of what is presently
L_ the great County of Warren; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the northern portion of what is presently
Warren County determined in 1792 to establish the Town of Thurman; and
WHEREAS , certain persons on the hills and in the valleys west of
beautiful Lake George desired the establishment of a new town in 1799,
because of the great growth in that area, and
WHEREAS , the town of Bolton was created on March 25, 1799, one hundred
and seventy-five years ago; and
WHEREAS, the people of the Town of Bolton are now engaged in festivities
celebrating said anniversary; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the people of the Town of Queensbury, the shire
Town of Warren County, hereby express hearty congratulations to their
friends and neighbors in the wonderful Town of Bolton on this 175 th
anniversary of their local government.

RESOLUTION NO. 137, introduced by Mr. Au�,stin, who moved its adoption,

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury once comprised all of what is presently
the great County of Warren; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the northern portion of what is presently

Lake, Loon lake, Friends Lake and east of the Hudson River desired the

WHEREAS, the people of the Town of Chester are now engaged in festivities
celebrating said anniversary; now, therefore, be it

of Warren,County, hereby express hearty congratulations to their friends

of their local government.
