SUPERVISOR BORGOS-Noted that the Town received bids about two weeks ago regarding
the proposed State Police Satellite Office. The Town has been requested by two small local
businesses to refund their certified checks of deposit because they will not be awarded the
contracts. We consulted with our attorney and he has advised us that we would need a resolution
of the Board to refund the monies. Noted that we do hope to award the bids some time next
week.
RESOLUTION TO REFUND DEPOSITS ON BIDS REGARDING STATE POLICE SATELLITE
OFFICE
RESOLUTION NO. 362, Introduced by Marilyn Potenza who moved for its adoption, seconded
by George Kurosoko.
WHEREAS, Hilltop Construction Company of Glens Falls, Inc., and JRB Mechanical Contractors,
Inc., previously submitted(a) bid(s) with deposits on (a) certain controct(s)regarding the proposed
construction of the State Police Satellite Office in the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, said contractors hove requested to withdraw their bid(s) and that the Town Board
of the Town of Queensbury refund their deposit(s) concerning the some, us:
1. Hilltop Construction Company of Glens Falls, Inc., was not the low-bidder on Contract
No. 1 and therefore wishes that all their bids be withdrawn and deposits refunded, and
2. JRB Mechanical Contractors, Inc., was not low-bidder on Contract No. 1 and therefore
wishes that their bid be withdrawn and deposit refunded,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOL VED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby releases the following
deposit(s) to the said contractors for the reasons hereinbefore stated:
1. Hilltop Construction Company of Glens Falls, Inc.

A) $11,550.00 -- Refunded for Contract No. 1
B) $ 1,050.00 - Refunded for Contract No. 2
