Gentlemen:
For business and family reasons and pursuant to the Town
Law of the State 6f New York, I hereby resign as Town Supervisor
of the Town of Queensbury, effective this date. It is with mixed
emotions that I leave the Town of Queensbury government, after 10
years of Political activity and six years as a town and county
legislator. I have pride in. the Town and its government. I
regret that the pleasant associations of- these several years will
not continue at their former level. These have been among the best days
and experiences of my life and I thank those in town government
and all of the people of the Town for making them possible. On
behalf of my family and myself, I extend sincere appreciation to all
of you who have worked so loyally for Queensbury, and I am happy
to wish you best wishes for the future.

After the reading of this letter Mr. Austin thanked all who helped
him during his term in office.
Deputy Supervisor then took over the meeting. Mr. Robillard thanked
Supervisor Austin for giving much of his time to the. Town of
Queensbury.

RESOLUTION N0. 1. introduced by Mr. Robillard who mowed its adoption

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Town Supervisor of
the Town of Queensbury because of the resignation of John
Austin, who was elected to such office in November, 1973,for
a term of two years from the 1st day of January, 1974.
NOW THEREFORE, in pursuance of Section 64 of the Town Law of
the State of New York, we do hereby appoint Gordon S. Streeter
of said town to fill the vacancy existing in said office of
Town Supervisor. Such appointment is effective immediately,
and the said Gordon S. Streeter shall hold such office until
January 1, 1976.

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in, the office of Councilman of the Town
of Queensbury because of the resignation of Gordon S. Streeter who
wa*lected to such office on the --day of November, 1973, for
a term of four years from the ist day of January, 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE , pursuant to Section 64 of the Town Law of the State
of New York, we do hereby appoint Hammond Robertson Jr. of said Town
to fill the vacancy existing in said office of Councilman. Such
appointment is effective immediately, and the said Hammond Robertson, Jr.
shall hold such office until January 1, 1976.

RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RULES OF PROCEDURE

RESOLVED, that pursuant to the authority granted by Section 63 of the
Town Law of the State of New York, the Town Board hereby determines
that Robert's Rules of Order shall be its rules of procedure during
the year 1975, except when the same are not in accord with the Town
Law or with other resolution of this Board.

RESOLUTION NO, 4. introduced by Mr. Barber who moved its adoption

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 62 of the Town -Law of the State
of New York, regular meetings of the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury shall be on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each
month hereafter at 7:30 P.M. at the Queensbury Town Office Building
Bay and Haviland Roads, Town of Queensbury, and -be it further
RESOLVED, that any special meetings of said Board shall be subject
to a two day notice in advance by the Supervisor.

RESOLUTION TO RETAIN TOWN SURVEYOR

RESOLVED, that John B. VanDusen of the Town of Queensbury be retained
as Town Surveyor of said Town for the fiscal year 1975 at an annual
compensation of $3,400.00 and that the Town Supervisor be and he herehY
is authorized to execute on behalf of the Town a contract with John

B. VanDusen for such services, and be it further
RESOLVED, that in addition to the services provided by such contract,
the Town Board employ said John B. VanDusen to perform other services
a+ay be required which will involve the employment by him of persons
t+ssist in compiling data, drafting and similar work, and that the
Town reimburse John B. VanDusen for such additional work and expenses
in connection therewith during the fiscal year of 1975, not to exceed
in th#ggregate sum of $1,000.00, which reimbursement shall be made
upon itemized and certified vouchers therefor audited by the Town
Board.
