We are a'pplyinfora foa restructuring of the current uses at Fisders,Marina. The marina currently
operates with 3,0 quick launch,vessels and a,pubil c talunch. We are propos,ing to close the public lla unich
for weekenduse and replace that volurne of bracts with quick launch. AN other marIna operations will
remain unchanged.
We have been tracking public taunich use since 21 '8, on average,, 20 public boats are launched
on each weekend day. We,are closing the launch to the public for the weekends and proposing to
replace that use with,quick launch vessels. This gives the marina,total control over the launching
schedule, eliminating sjurges In launch use. This will greatly reduce,the,car and trailer traffic on PI lot
Knob Road,wh lie keeping the same boat traffic within,the bay.
F1,5chers Marina,is currently permitted fir 3,0 quick launch vessels. We are proposing a totall of
1010 quick launch vessels with a limit of 50 boats at any one time. lBy IlmItIng the numbiler of launches,,
F[schers Marina will be able to service more c[lents without an,adverse impact to the surrounding
neighborhood and bay. The current 30 quick launch boats,and the additional 20 public launch boats xvill
yield)the sarne use as the 50 quick la u nch boats. 'How ever,qu ic�k lia,u nch al lows the mar]nato schediulle
launches,eliminating peaks and over,use., It also,insures that all Fischers customers are famfliarwith the
area and,marina operations,,eliminating confusion,and traffic problems.
'We feel that this Is,a rninimatchange,in use without Impacting,the surrounding homeowners.
Boat and car traffic mill remain the same,white still,a1lowing,the marina to operate,more efficleritty.
