Purpose: Assist all students in matters concerning employment, housing, registration and unfair labor practices. Location: 211 Canada Street Lake George Village. We have been offered an office free of charge by Anthony Metivier in his bicycle rental shop. Open May-Sept. Staffing: Patty Kirkpatrick, long-time local business owner. She has agreed to act as director. No salary! I have other volunteers that will assist with various duties; housing, second jobs, etc. . Hours: We will open office during hours our Village Half is not open. Basically just a desk, chairs, etc.to file complaints. Requests: We fund this initial year with$1,000 each or a total of$4,000. Funds will cover furnishings, phone line, printing, posters, etc. Village will act as lead and provide receipts for all expenditures. Balance at year-end will be carried over. Final report will be given to all municipalities in October of those served, Summary: I am seeking$1,000 from each municipality to create an office, designed to be a "home away from hpme"for all students foreign and local to come with problems. The past few years' experiences has led us to believe this office will enhance the overall experience of student employees and benefit the entire Lake George region. Please feel free to share this with members of your Town Boards.Thank you. Sincerely, o ert .Blois Mayor RMB/das Web address: www.villageoffakegeorge.us
