Hughes Trust Subdivision - Oxbow Hill Rd & Rt. 149 Engineering Comments Dear Mr. Brown: In accordance with the Planning Board's preliminary subdivision approval resolution, requiring an engineering sign-off, enclosed please find two sets of drawings for the above-referenced project, which have been revised in accordance with the latest Chazen Companies' engineering comments of April 18, 2017. Regarding the engineering comments, we offer the following in response: 1. The HydroCAD "pond" subcatchments have been revised so that the top elevations of the forebays are equal to the base elevation of the infiltration basins and the top elevation of the infiltration trenches. This allows pretreatment ponding in the first pond node (forebay) and then infiltration in the second pond node (infiltration trench and portion of basin above infiltration trench). Also, ponding volume is available above the trench if needed and infiltration credit is not taken in the forebay portions of the basin. The viewport on Sheet S4 has been enlarged to show Infiltration facility 12 (west of the turn-around on Lot 3). Infiltration Facility 131T of the HydroCAD model has been revised so that the top of this facility is now at elevation 259.5 and the grading plan has been revised as well. 2. A detail for the basin outlets/outfalls has been added to Sheet S8, 3. Additional sediment control fencing has been added near Oxbow Hill Road. Also rip-rap check dams have been added to the road ditchlines, conveyance channels, along with rolled erosion control blankets. 4. The well for Lot 3 has been relocated so that it meets the required 100-ft setbacks from the wastewater absorption field and driveside infiltration facilities. I trust this information and our revisions adequately address the referenced Chazen Companies' engineering comments. We look forward to discussing the project with the Planning Board at the May 18th meeting for the Final Phase of subdivision review.
