Town of Queensbury 745 Bay Road Queensbury,NY 12804 Attn: Mr. Dave Hatin RE: Green Mountain Electric Supply—Structural Inspection of Racking Gentlemen: This is to inform you that I have been retained by TEC Engineering, LLC to perform the structural inspection for the installation of a rack storage system and the rack supported mezzanines which they designed for the Green Mountain Electrical Supply facility at 319 Corinth Road in Queensbury. I inspected that installation on March 17th and again on March 22nd. During my first inspection I noted a deficiency in the installation of the bar grating floor for mezzanine #2. A transverse splice had been made without supporting both ends of the grating. This was adequately remedied by the installation of a continuous 12" wide steel plate under and centered on the splice. The plate is secured to the grating with 12 saddle clamps for each 3 foot wide section of grating. Since the splice is very close to a support beam, the splice only has to transfer shear between the sections of grating. Based upon my inspections I believe that the rack systems and supported mezzanines have been constructed in substantial conformance with the approved design drawing.
