APPENDIX A ail THAT RTAIN PARCEL OF LAND dituatedin the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, New York, being that portion of the 60 foot wide strip of land conveyed to the Town of Queensbury by the Charles V. Peters Estate by deed dated May 25, 1946, and recorded in Book 238 of Zeds at page 543, lying southeriy of the southerly boundary of those lands appropriated by the State of New York for the relocation of the Aviation Road, and which said parcel is bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at the southeast corner of the parcel of land described in the aforementioned deed recorded in Book 238 of Deeds at Page 543, and which said point of beginning is also the southwest corner of a 50 foot wide strip of land conveyed by the said Peters Estate to the Town of Queensbury by deed dated December 8, 1941, and recorded in Book 220 of Deeds at Page 414, and which said last mentioned strip of land was formerly known as Peters Road; running thence from the place of beginning, North 87 degrees 16 minutes West for a distance of 60 feet; thence North 6 degrees 03 minutes East, and along the westerly line of those lands conveyed to the Town of Queensbury by the aforementioned deed recorded in Book 238 of Deeds at Page 543, for a distance of approximately 40 feet to the most southerly corner of Parcel 7, as shown on Map #6 of the aforesaid appropriation for the relocation of the Aviation Road; running thence southeasterly, along the southerly bounds of said lands appropriated for said highway, for a distance of approximately 70 feet, more of less, to the place of- beginning. Duly adopted by the hollowing vote: Ayes : Mr. Olson, Mr. Barber, Mr. Robillard, Mr. Streeter, Mr. Austin Noes: None Absent: None RESOLUTION AUTHORIZINd COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, AND MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM RESOLUTION 110. 242 Introduced by Mr. Gordon Streeter who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Robert Barber: WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury, in order to provide for p1planning study Qontributing to an overall program for its future community development, desires to' participate in the Federal-State Comprehensive Planning and Management Assistance Program as authorized by Section 701 of the Housing Act of' 1954, as amended, and Artcle26 of thh New York State Executive Law, and WHEREAS, the New York State Office of Planning Services, under auth- ority of Article 26 of the New York State Executive Law, is the official State planning agency designated to administer Federal and State funds under the provisions of Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended, now therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby requests the New York State Office of Planning Services to provide planning assistance under authority of Article 26 of the New York State Executive Law, with such financial assistance as may be provided by the United State* Department of Housing and Urban Development, under authotity..of Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended. Such planning assis- tance is more particularly described in the project application. RESOLVED, that if the aforesaid application is approved and accepted by both the Director of the New York State Office of Planning Services and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Town of Queensbury shall enter into a formal agreement with the New York State Office of Planning Services to undertake the project described in the approved applisAAJaw and to pay to the State of New York its sho" of the- estimated total cost of the said project, together with such other terms and con- ditions as may be deemed necessary and appropriate to carryout the said project. RESOLVED, that the Town of Queensbury hereby agrees to have available, in the year the project is to be completed, the sum of Eleven Hundred and Forty Dollars ($1, 140.00) , or so much thereof as may be necessary to contribute a sum not to exceed Twelve and one-half per centum (12k%) of the total cost of said project, to be paid to the State of New York, on condition that the above mentioned application is approved by both the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Director of the New York State Office of Planning Services . RESOLVED, that the Town of Queensbury shall assume the costs of operating and maintaining its own planning board or commission including such 341 services as clerical personnel, office space, equipment, materials, com- munication and travel, as such costs cannot be charged to the Comprehen- sive Planning and Management Assistance Program. RESOLVED, that it is understood that current planning services may not be charged to the Comprehensive Planning and Management Assistance Program. RESOLVED, that the Supervisor df the Town of Queensbury be and hereby is authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the Town of Queens- bury all necessary applications, contracts and agreements to implement and carry out the pruposes specified in this resolution.
