1973-09-04 SP 355 WHEREAS, due to the increased cost of Fire Erotection Contracts for 1973, the District will be short the sum of $1,351. 09 of meeting its obligations for the year of 1973 , therefore be it RESOLVED, that the General Town Fund advance from its surplus funds the sum of $1,351. 09 to the Queensbury Fire Protection District , said amount to be repaid to the General Town Fund as early in 1974 as funds are available. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes : Mr. Olson, Mr. Barber, Mr. Streeter, Mr. Austin Noes: None -- Absent: Mr. Robillard RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF WATER PENALTIES RESOLUTION NO. 259, introduced by Mr. Gordon Streeter who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Robert Barber: WHEREAS, daring the recent audit of the town, it was recommended that water penalties be credited to the water districts rather thatt the General Town Fund as a Tax Collector fee and WHEREAS , it was also their recommendation that the Togn reimburse all penalties since 1967, therefore be it RESOLVED .that the following .sums be transferred from the General Town Fund to the water districts as follows : Queensbury Water District $2,450. 87 South Queensbury hater Dist. 248. 98 West Glens Falls Water Dist. 113.61 Shore `Coiony`Water Dist. 24. 15 Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Mr.-' Olson, Mr. Barber, Mr. Streeter, Mr. Austin Noes : None Absentr Mr. Robillard A--request °wAS received from Thomas Flaherty to attend the fall meeting of the American Water Works Association - Lake Placid RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ATTENDANCE AT CONFERENCE RESOLUTION NO. 260 Introduced by Mr. John Austin who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Daniel Olson: RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to Thomas K. Flaherty, Water Superintendent, to attend the fall meeting of the American Water Works Association to be held at Lake Placid, on September 11-14, and that the actual and necessary expenses incurred in such attendance is a proper town charge. RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE QUEENSBURY WATER STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION DISTRICT .IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN, COUNTY, NNW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 261, Introduced by Mr.John Austin, who mewed its adoption, seconded y Mr. Harold Robillard: WHEREAS, at a meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, New York held at the Town Office Building in Queensbury, New York on the 14th day of December, 1971 , Resolution No. 249 was adopted calling a Public hearing in connection with t k establishment of the Queensbury Water Storage and Distribution District pursuant to Article 12A, Section 209-d of the Town Law, and WHEREAS , a meeting of said Town Board was held on December 30, 1971 to consider the establishment of the proposed district and due notice of such public hearing was published, and WHEREAS, at a meeting of said Town Board hold at the Town Office ,Building in Queensbury, New York on the 30th day of December, 1971, Resolution No. 254 was adopted by said Town Board, approving the establishment of the said Queensbury Water Storage and Distribution District in accordance with Article 12A of the. Town Law, and WHEREAS, said Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has filed a petition with the Comptroller of the State of New York for the establishment of said Queens- bury Water Storage and Distribution District and said application is made pursuant to the aforementioned Resolution No. 254, and WHEREAS , in fact, said proceedings for the establishment and approval of said Queensbury Water Stoarg4 and Distribution District should be pursuant to the provisions of Article 12 of the Town Law rather than Article 12A of said Town Law, now, therefore, be it duly RESOLVED, that said Resolutions No. 249 and No. 254 and said petition to the Comptroller of the State of New York be amended to provide that the respective proceedings are pursuant to Article 12 , Section 190-c of the Town Law, and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of said Town of Queensbury be *nd he hereby is authorized to amend such petition and application to the Comptroller of the State of New York on behalf of the Town Board of thh Town of Queensbury in furtherance of this resolution.
