According to SB Engineering's calculations we can establish the structure is capable of supporting up to 50 psf. Currently the Roof Dead Load is 32psf. The additional weight of the solar array, including ballast blocks, rail, mounting hardware etc.would be 5.2 psf. Since SB Engineering has stated the roof has been designed for a dead load of 50psf we will not be exceeding the maximum capacity of the roof. 32psf+5.2psf= 37.2psf While consideration was give to snow drifting it is highly recommended that the project owner not allow excessive snow and/or ice buildup on the roof.
