1972-02-24 ISO ,Regular Meeting February 24, 1972 Members Present: Gerald B. Solomon Supervisor Lloyd Demboski Councilman Robert Barber Councilman was absent Harald Robillard Councilman Gordon Streeter Councilman Harold Katz Town Counsel . The meeting was opened with a salute to the flag at 8 :10 P .M. The Supervisor greeted the following persons: Pliney Tucker Florence Mcllvaine Mary Lou Quinn Harold Boynton Thomas Flaherty Carl Garb First on the agenda was a Mobile Home application for Jacques Belanger of New Hampshire to locate a Mobile home on the corner of Cronin Road and Meadowbrook for a period of three months. The application has the Building Inspector' s approval. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE TEMPORARY PERMIT FOR MOBILE HOME RESOLUTION NO_ 53 , introduced by Mr. Robillard who moved its adoption seconded by Mr. Streeter. WHEREAS, Jacques Belanger of New Hampshire has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (a) Section 4 of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at ,property situated at corner of Cronin and Meadowbrook road and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance temporary permission is hereby given to Jacques Belanger to locate a mobile home for a period of three months at property listed above and that the Building Inspector is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Mr. Demboski, Mr, Robillard, Mr. Streeter, Mr. Solomon. Noes: None. The annual report of the Town of Queensbury was turned over to the Town Clerk by Supervisor Solomon. As chairman of the Highway Committee, Councilman Demboski thanked Superintendent Carl Garb for providing a complete inventory of the department' s equipment, including date of purchase, model and make. He asked that the inventory be made a part of the town' s records. The meeting was declared open to the public. Mrs. Thomas Quinn asked about° chances for improving Bay Road. Mr. Solomon told her the project is partof a state and federal program for which funds are not now available. Mr. Solomon announced that the next regular meeting will be held on March 9. At that time a public hearing will be held on the application of Carl Covell for a revocable permit to maintain a mobile home on his Haviland Road property as a residence for farm help.
