WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Highway Superintendent has requested Town Board
approval to replace and trade-in a 1999 Fermec 760B Backhoe(Town Asset No.: 3788) and purchase
a new 2018 John Deere 410L Backhoe Loader, and
WHEREAS,New York State Bidding is not required as the purchase is under New York State
Office of General Services Group 440625, Award 4PGB22792,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves of the Town Highway
Superintendent's purchase of a 2018 John Deere 410L Backhoe Loader to replace a 1999 Fermec
760B Backhoe (Town Asset No.: 3788) in the amount of$112,370, minus a trade in value of$15,000
for the 1999 Fermec 760B Backhoe, resulting in a net purchase price of$97,370, from Nortrax in
accordance with New York State Office of General Services Group 440625, Award 4PGB22792, to
be paid for from Heavy Equipment Account No.: 004-5130-2040, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to
amend the Town Budget by transferring:
• $40,000 from Fuel Account No.: 004-5130-4410 to Heavy Equipment Account No.: 004-
5130-2040; and
• $57,370 from Undesignated Fund Balance Account No.: 004-0000-0909 to Heavy Equipment
Account No.: 004-5130-2040;
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Highway Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to take all such other and further actions as may be
necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.

As you know, the 2018 John Deere 410L backhoe loader is available on
the New York State Office of General Services contract for backhoe
loaders group #40625 award #PGB22792.
We are able to provide a brand new 2017 John Deere 410L backhoe
loader equipped with the PowerTech 4.5L EPA Final Tier 4 compliant
turbocharged diesel engine, 4 wheel drive with limited slip differential,
powershift transmission, ride control, extendible dipperstick, excavator
style pilot controls with pattern selection switch, front and rear auxiliary
hydraulics, backhoe quick coupler with hydraulic tilting function, 24"
trenching bucket with teeth, 48" ditching bucket with bolt on edge, loader
quick coupler, quick connect 1.32 cu yd hydraulic multipurpose 4 in 1
bucket with bolt on edge and skid plates, quick connect forks with 60"
tines, front counterweight, 2 heavy duty batteries, enclosed cab with
heat and A/C, air suspension cloth seat with power up & down, Bosch
am/fm radio, top mounted safety beacon, sun visor, console storage

The total New York State contract purchase price is $112370.
Nortrax will allow you a trade in value of $15000 for your 1999 Fermec

Total delivered price after trade in is $97370.
