1971-06-10 Councilman Austin explained that letters will go out soon to Town of Queensbury residents reminding, them that the town high- way right-of-way does not necessarily conincide with the edge of the pavement or roadway. The practice of maintaining lawns and sometimes of placing shrubbery or other home improvements on the right-of-way has caused problems for the highway and water departments. The intent of the letters is to prevent misunder- standings in cases where necessary snow plowing or other town operations have disturbed lawns and fences that are in fact on town property.
