RENOVATION AND ADDITION
Item V — Requirements .
The existing Schneider Residence we believe is consistent with the Vision, Goals and Policy of the 2007
Queensbury Comprehensive Plan and its amendments. The existing residence was used as a camp /
weekend re-treat and the current owner looks to maintain that character and charm in the current
renovation and small additions.
Under the current renovation and addition the natural landscape will be maintained, where disturbed it
will be replaced with materials to match the surrounding landforms, ridges and slopes. The owner also
under a separate permit has updated the septic system moving it to the new setback requirements to
promote the protection of natural resources of the lake.
The residential neighborhood will remain unchanged . Access via roadways will remain unchanged .
Relationships with current surroundings and adjacent properties will remain unchanged, in turn
promoting the current use of the natural landscapes.
In conclusion, the renovation and addition of the Schneider Residence adheres and promotes the 2007
Comprehensive Plan to protect the natural areas and landscapes, to promote a stable neighborhood and
maintain the charter of that neighborhood and establishes a clear connection with its community to
maintain a vision,
