WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Highway Superintendent has requested Town Board
approval to purchase a new 2018 John Deere 624K Wheel Loader and trade-in a: 1) 2005 John Deere
624J Wheel Loader (Town Asset No.: 4257) for the trade-in value of$52,000; and 2) 1999 Fermec
760B Backhoe(Town Asset No.: 3788) for the trade-in value of$15,000, and
WHEREAS,New York State Bidding is not required as the purchase is under New York State
Office of General Services Group 440625, Award 4PGB22792,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves of the Town Highway
Superintendent's purchase of a 2018 John Deere 624K Wheel Loader for the New York State
Contract purchase price of$165,876, and the Highway Superintendent's trade-in of a: 1) 2005 John
Deere 624J Wheel Loader (Town Asset No.: 4257) for the trade-in value of$52,000; and 2) 1999
Fermec 760B Backhoe (Town Asset No.: 3788) for the trade-in value of$15,000, resulting in the
net Wheel Loader purchase price of$98,876 from Nortrax in accordance with Nortrax's 4-25-2018
Equipment Quote and Customer Purchase Order presented at this meeting and in accordance with
New York State Office of General Services Group 440625, Award 4PGB22792, to be paid for from
Heavy Equipment Account No.: 004-5130-2040, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to
take all actions necessary to amend the Town Budget by transferring $98,876 from Undesignated Fund
Balance Account No.: 004-0000-0909 to Heavy Equipment Account No.: 004-5130-2040, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to sign
the Customer Purchase Order substantially in the form presented at this meeting and/or any other
needed documentation and the Town Supervisor, Highway Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to
take all such other and further actions as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.

As you know, the 2018 John Deere 624K wheel loader is available on the New York
State Office of General Services contract for wheel loaders group #40625 award
#PGB22792.
We are able to provide a brand new 2018 John Deere 624K wheel loader equipped
with the PowerTech PVS 6.8L EPA Final Tier 4 compliant turbocharged diesel
engine, hydraulic quick coupler, 3rd function auxiliary hydraulics, quick connect 3.5
cubic yard heavy duty bucket with bolt on cutting edge, quick connect forks •
attachment with 60"tines, enclosed cab with heat & air conditioning, rear view
camera with in cab monitor, air suspension fabric seat, automatic ride control, front
hydraulically locking differential, 20.5R25 radial tires, rear counterweight with hitch
and locking pin, top-mounted safety beacon with fold down bracket, am/fm radio,
engine block heater, 5 lbs. multi-purpose (ABC) fire extinguisher, JDLink machine
monitoring telematics, etc.
The New York State contract purchase price is $165876.
Nortrax will allow you a trade value of$52000 for your 2005 John Deere 624J serial
number DW624JZ599468 and $15000 for your 1999 Fermec 760 serial number

Total delivered purchase price after trade in is $98876.
