Reed to locate a Mobile Home on Pineollo Road, Town of Queensbury was declared open at this time. Proof of publication was presented and read aloud by the clerk. Mr. & Mrs. Clifford T. Reed were present. There was no one who spoke in favor of or against the application. Supervisor Solomon pointed out that Pineollo Road is made up almost entirely of Mobile Homes and Councilman Robillard stated that a sufficient hardship was shown and the Building Inspector recommended that approval of the application. - RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOR MOBILE HOME RESOLUTION No. 126, Introduced by Mr. Robillard, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Austin. WHEREAS, Mr. & Mrs. Clifford T. Reed of 6 Richardson Street, West Glens Falls , N.Y. , have made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queens- bury entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and i MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEHMURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated the end two lots on the east side of Pineollo Road, Town of Queensbury, New York, and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application for the following reasons: There were no persons in appearance in opposition to the granting of the permit. There was sufficient hardship shown and the Building 434 Inspector approved the application. therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Mr. & Mrs. Clifford T. Dear Don: I am tendering my resignation as Deputy Town Clerk effective as of May 31, 1970. I thank you for affording me the opportunity of serving my community and learning a great deal about our Town Government. It has been a real pleasure working with you these past five -- months. I also wish to thank the town board members and assure each and every member our continued support for re-election. Kilmartin of R.D. 1, Bay Road, Lake George to locate a Mobile Home on Dream Lake Road was referred back to the Building Inspector as it was felt this was not a suitable location and that perhaps a better location could be worked out. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING RESOLUTION No. 127, Introduced by Mr. Austin, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Demboski. WHEREAS, Stephen Granger, RFD #3, Howard Street, Glens Falls, New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated Lot K. RFD #3, Howard Street, Glens Falls, New York, and WHEREAS, it it hereby determined that said application complies 435 with the requirements of said ordinance, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this board, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said application on June 11, 1970 at 8:00 P.M. in the Queensbury Town Office Building, Bay Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public hearing in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Mr. Demboski, Mr. Austin, Mr. Robillard, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Solomon Noe-9: None The applications of Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Hack and Mrs. William Mitchell to locate mobile homes on a private road off Jenkins- ville Road were tabled until the next board meeting on June 11th. RESOLUTION TO DISAPPROVE APPLICATION TO LOCATE MOBILE HOME OUTSIDE OF MOBILE HOME COURT. - RESOLUTION No. 128, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, who moved its adoption, sedonded by Mr. Austin. WHEREAS, Earl Underhill of Schenectady, New York has made applic- ation in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) , Section 4, of an ord- inance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a- mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated at Sunnyside Lake, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies with the requirements of said ordinance but that the facts as presented in said application are not sufficient to justify further consideration by this board, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordin ance, the application of Earl Underhill of Schenectady, N.Y. , to loeate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court is not approved and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to notify the applicant mf the decision of this board. Noes: None The next Mobile Home application is that of Mr. and Mrs. Aldie Guay of 77 Briwood Circle and it has the approval of the Building Inspector. WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Aldie Guay of 77 Briwood Circle, has made application with paragraph, 2 (c) Section 4, of an Ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated on Minnesota Avenue, and 436 WHEREAS, this town board has seen no need for a public hearing because a mobile home is already located on the premises, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said meeting are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby granted to Mr. and Mrs. Aldie Guay of 77 Briwood Circle to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at Minnesota Ave. and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the teems and conditions of said ordinance. Smith of Rhode Island Ave. and William C. Hart of 11 Timberlane,Forest Park were tabled until the June 11 meeting because of insufficient information. Solomon, Supervisor Town of Queensbury Queensbury Town Office Bay at Haviland Road Glens Falls , N.Y. 12801 Dear Jerry: Yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, May 27 our office redeived a phone call from a Town of Queensbury resident in the Broad Acres ar8a, greatly concerned and somewhat upset about a crew touring the neighborhood soliciting blacktop drivewgy recovering. An excellent description was given of this crew and we telephoned Police Chief Gilbert Schlierer immediately who advised that he would check into it. It seemed to me to he lass than fifteen minutes later that a second call came from this Broad Acres resident, greatly relieved that a Town Police car had been observed going by with several of the crew as it and the truck following the Police car indicating that action had been taken by Town of Queensbury authorities. The purpose of this letter is to commend the prompt and efficient action of the Town of Queensbury Police Department and Chief Schlierer in particular. Such efficient and spontaneous action as taken by Chief Schlierer should be a great comfort to Town of Queensbury residents. Gentlemen: The undersigned, due to conflict of interest arising from my position as Town Justice, hereby tenders resignation as a member of the Planning Board of the Town of Queensbury. Unfortunately, the pressure of other matters. precludes my accomplishing the goals established for the council, and a more active Chairman is needed for this most worthwhile project. Katz Mr. Solomon announced that the Town of Queensbury Memorial Day Parade will form in the Queensbury Plaza .,at 9:30 A.M. on May 30 and will join the city at. Crandall Park. Councilman Demboski commended Mr. Little for his valuable service to the Planning Board. Mr. Solomon also praised Mr. Katz and thanked him for getting the committee off the ground. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AGREEMENT RELATIVE TO SNOW AND ICE CONTROL ON COUNTY ROADS SYSTEM IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY RESOLUTION NO. 130 Introduced by Mr. Austin, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Robertson. RESOLVED, that the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the County of Warren to provide for the payment by the county of an annual rate of $800.00 per mile for snow removal and sanding of certain roads of the county Highway system in the Town of Queensbury, said contract to be for a period of four years, commencing January 1, 1970' and ending December 31, 1974, unless either party shall give written intention to terminate the contract on the 31st day of 400,mber in that year. 438 Duly adopted by the following vote: AYES: Mr. Demboski, Mr. Austin, Mr. Robillard, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Solomon NOES: None RESOLUTION TO CHANGE POLLING PLACE RESOLUTION NO. 131 Introduced by Mr. Robillard, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Austin WHEREAS, Resolution No. 181 of August 27, 1969 designated the Glens Falls Senior High School as the Polling Place for District 13 voters, and WHEREAS, this board has deemed it advisable to change said Polling Place, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the West Glens Falls Community Chapel be designated as the official Polling Place for District No. 13. Duly adopted by the following vote: AYES: Mr. Demboski, Mr. Austin, Mr. Robillard, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Solomon. NOES: None. Mr. Solomon gave some brief comments as to why the change is taking place. Mr. Austin asked the Town Clerk to advise the principal of the High School and also the Board of Directors of the Chapel of this change. RESOLUTION TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION FOR YOUTH TOR APPROVAL OF HOMETOWN BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT RESOLUTION NO. 132, Introduced by Mr. Demboski who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Robertson WHEREAS, the 1970 Town Budget has made provisions for a continuation of the Town Beautification program, and WHERAS, it is believed that the Town is eligible to receive State Aid under the State of New York Division for Youth, therefore be it RESOLVED, that application to the New York State Division for Youth for approval of the Hometown Beautification Project is hereby authorized, and that the Supervisor of the Town is hereby authorized and directed to execute such application on behalf of the Town of Queensbury. RESOLUTION TO NAME ELECTION INSPECTOR RESOLUTION NO. 133 Introduced by Mr. Robertson, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Austin WHEREAS, Mr. Robert J. Cronin, Chairman of the Warren County Democratic Committee, did appoint Mary Rock as. election inspector for District No 4 of the Town of Queensbury, and Mary Lou Harney as election inspector for District No. 2 of the Town of Queensbur*, and WHEREAS, Mary Rock will be serving as as alternate only, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Mary Lou Harney be transfered to District No. 4 to serve for the June 23rd Primary, and be it further RESOLVED, that P$tlrAcia Brayton be -appointed as election 4139 inspector for District No. 2, Town of Queensbury to serve at the June 23rd, 1970 Primary. Bowman, Chairman of the Queensbury Republican Committee, did appoint Elizabeth Miller as election inspector for Election District No. 6, and Ingebjorg Lembke as election inspector for Election District No. 2, of the Town of Queensbury, and WHEREAS, Elizabeth Miller and Ingebjorg Lembke will be unable to serve at the June 23rd Primary, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Virginia Prater be appointed as election inspector for District No. 6, and Gertrude VanDusen be appointed as election inspector for District No. 2 of the Town of Queensbury to serve for the June 23rd, 1970 Primary. NOES: None RESOLUTION TO CHANGE NAME OF TOWN HIGHWAY RESOLUTION NO. 135 , Introduced by Mr. Robertson who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Robillard WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent, Carl A. Garb has m$de the recommendation to change the name of two town highways, namely Town Highway #46 known as Rockhurst Lane and Town Highway #134 known as Gleason Road. RESOLVED, that the name of Town Highway 46, Rockhurst Lane be and the same is hereby changed to Highway #46, Churchill Road , and Town Highway #134, Gleason Road be and the same is hereby changed to Town Highway #134, Pitcher Road. RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY OF GLENS FALLS AND THE COUNTY OF WARREN MAKE APPLICATION FOR STATE AID IN REGARD TO NEWLY PROPOSED DRAINAGE DISTRICTS RESOLUTION NO. 136, introduced by Mr. Austin-3- who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Robertson. RESOLVED, That the Town Board of Queensbury hereby requests the City of Glens Falls and the County of Warren to join with this town in an application for State Aid for a comprehensive study and report under General Municipal Law Article 5-J of a proposed drainage district comprehending the areas of Ridgedale within the city of Glens Falls and -the Ridgedale-Quaker Road- Glenwood Ave. area of Queensbury. RESOLVED, that the Audit of Bills as listed in Abstract No. 70-5A numbered 665 through 666 inclusive and totaling $ 13,666.00 is hereby approved. Mr. Granger was present and was asked by the Supervisor if the building which was on the lot was still there and he informed the board that it was not. This application was approved by the Building Inspector and no one spoke for or against the application.
