SECRETARY TO SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS

WHEREAS, the Secretary to the Superintendent of Highways recently submitted his
resignation, and
WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent has recommended that the Town Board
authorize the appointment of Melanie Dinwiddie to the position,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby appoints Melanie Dinwiddie as
Secretary to the Superintendent of Highways effective on or about September 12th, 2017 at an annual
salary of $41,500 contingent upon Ms. Dinwiddie's successful completion of a pre-employment
physical as required by Town Policy, drug and/or alcohol screening, any applicable Civil Service
requirements, a twenty-six (26) week probation period, and the Town successfully completing a
background check as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that such appointment shall expire December 31, 2017, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Highway Superintendent and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms necessary to effectuate
the terms of this Resolution.
