1969-01-09 123 Leon Nassivera, Chairman of the Board of Assessors, questioned the Town Board as to the present status of decision of the Warren County and Washington County line at present. November 20, 1968 Mr. Norman C. Ferguson i Queensbury Town Office Building Bay Road Glens Falls, New York 12801 Dear Mr. Ferguson: I would like to make a formal complaint conderning an Auto Body Repair shop that has recently been established by a Mr. Havens on Caroline street, between Fouth Street and Garner Street. Garb reported that all three of the recently purchased trucks for the Highway Department have been received at this time. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT RESOLUTION NO. 33, Introduced by Mr. Demobski, seconded by Mr. Robertson. RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to pay the 1969 County and Town Tax in the amount of $27.81 on the property purchased by the Town from Jordon Jones. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Demboski, Mr. Robillard, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Solomon. Noes - None RESOLUTION TO REAPPOINT PLANNING BOARD MEMBER RESOLUTION NO. 34, Introduced by Mr. Robillard, seconded by Mr. Robertson. WHEREAS, the term of Robert Kirkpatrick, as a member of the Town Planning Board of the Town of Queensbury expired on October 1, 1968, and, WHEREAS, it was the intention of this board that Mr. Kirkpatrick be reappointed, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Robert Kirkpatrick be and he is reappointed a< Member of the Town Planning Board for a term of seven years, to expire on September 30, 1975. Noes - None 126 RESOLUTION REGARDING ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT OF THE SUPERVISOR RESOLUTION NO. 35, Introduced by Mr. Robillard , seconded by Mr. Demboski. i RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby permitted and allowed to file a copy of the annual financial report to the Comptroller with the Town Clerk on or before March 1, 1969, in liew of filing a separate financial report by February 1st, 1969. Noes - None RESOLUTION ON POSTAGE RESOLUTION NO. 36, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Demboski. WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury has purchased a Pitney Bowes mailing machine, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase postage for the machine in advance of town audits , therefore be it RESOLVED, that Supervisor Gerald B. Solomon is hereby authorized to issue checks made payable to the United State Post Office and draw from the General Town Funds in advance of the monthly audits. Noes - None 9 RESOLUTION REGARDING PUBLIC OFFICIAL BONDS RESOLUTION NO. 37, Introduced by Mr. Robillard, seconded by Mr. Robertson. Noes - None RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CONTRACT WITH MOUNTAINSIDE FREE LIBRARY RESOLUTION NO. 38, Introduced by Mr. Demboski, seconded by Mr. Robertson. WHEREAS, the 1969 budget of the Town of Queensbury provided for an item of $200, to be paid to the Trustees of Mountainside Free Library for library services furnished to the residents of the Town- ship, and 127 WHEREAS, Town Attorney, Harold Katz has approved a contract between the Town of Queensbury and Mountainside Free Library, therefore be it I RESOLVED, that this contract between the Town of Queensbury and Mountainside Free Library for furnishing library service to the residents of the Town of Queensbury for the fiscal year 1969 is hereby approved , and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract on behalf of the Town, and that a copy of such contract duly signed shall be filed with the Town Clerk. RESOLVED, that the Audit of Bills as listed in Abstract #69-1A numbered #3 through #77 inclusive and totaling $12,090. 06 is hereby approved.
