The public hearing closed at 8:08 p.m. P The public hearing on the application of Richard Duprey to locate a mobile home outside of a mobile home court was opened at this time. The public hearing closed at 8: 10 p.m. The public hearing on the application of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Ramsey to locate a mobile home outside of a mobile home court was opened at this time. The public hearing closed at 8: 12 p.m. The public hearing on the Ordinance Relating to Parking on Ash Drive in the Town of Queensbury was declared open at this time. Proof of publication was read by the clerk. Supervisor Solomon stated that all police and fire agencies have requested the adoption of this Ordinance to regulate traffice on Ash Drive, Town of Queensbury. A request was made by Supervisor Solomon for a voice from any persons present in favor or in opposition of adopting the Ordinance. There waxy none, The public hearing closed at 8: 15 p.m. Mr. Charles Adams was granted the floor at this time. Mr. Adams spoke on the presentation of a petition which was read aloud as follows: PETITION TO: TOWN BOARD TOWN OF QUEENSBURY QUEENSBURY TOWN HALL We, the undersigned property owners, residing on and owning one family residential properties on Chestnut Ridge Road , present this petition for the immediate and urgent consideration of the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, 495 It has been brought to our attention that Chestnut Ridge Road which was originally planned to be strictly for one family residences under an R-2 zoning classification, is presently classified as R-3 which would permit the construction of two family residences on Chestnut Ridge Road. It is the desire and wish of each of the undersigned that the Board restore the original classification by immediately rezoning Chestnut Ridge Road as an R-2 residential area. We request your immediate action in rezoning Chestnut Ridge Road from the present R-3 classification to R-2 which will restrict the erection of any residence to one family occupancy. The petition was signed by twenty-three persons. A discussion ensued with Mr. Adams and the members of the Town Board on all points of interest in the two catagories as to the R-2 and R-3 zones. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOR MOBILE HOME RESOLUTION NO. 166, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Robillard. WHEREAS, Mr. Clifford Jarvis of R.F.D. #2 Pitcher Road, Town of Queens- bury, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled; ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENS- BURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated 230' off Corinth Road, on Pinello Road, and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: There were no persons in attendance in opposition to the granting of the permit. In the opinion of the Town Board, the property values in the area will not be adversly effected if the permit is granted, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Clifford Jarvis to locate a mobile kome outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at 230' off Corinth Road on Pinello Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Noes - None RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOR MOBILE HOME RESOLUTION N0. 167, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Robillard, WHEREAS, Mr. & Mrs. Alonzo Clark of R.F.D. #3 Illinois Avenue, West Glens Falls, New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated Lots #799-740-741 Illinois Ave. , and 499 WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection with said application ans has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: There were no persons in attendance in opposition to the granting of the permit. Y. , has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of of an ordinance of the Town of Queensburyentitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside j of a duly licensed mobile home court, at property situated Sherman j Island Road 600 yds off Corinth Road, and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: There were no persons in attendance in opposition to the granting of the permit. Noes - None ORDINANCE RELATING TO PARKING ON ASH DRIVE IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY RESOLUTION NO. 170, introduced by Mr, Robertson, seconded by Mr.Robillard. The Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, New York, pursuant to Section 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffice Law of the State of New York, does hereby enact and ordain the following ordinance: Section 1. For the purpose of this ordinance, the words "vehicle", "Owner", "parked", and "standing" shall have the meaning defined in the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York. Section 2. No vehicle shall be parked or left standing on the west side of Ash Drive (Town Road No. 64) from the Delaware and Hudson Railroad right-of-way north to the intersection of said Ash Drive with Glen Lake Road. Section 3. Any person violating any provision of Section 1 of this ordinance shall upon conviction be punishable for a first offense by a fine not to exceed Ten ($10. 00) Dollars, and for a second offense by a fine not less than Ten ($10. 00) Dollars or more than Twenty-five ($25. 00) Dollars, or by imprisonment for not less than two nor more than ten days. The third or any subsequent offense within one year shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred ($100. 00) Dollars or by imprisonment not to exceed thirty days or by both such fine and imprisonment. In addition to the aforesaid penalties, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury may institute any proper action, suit or proceeding to prevent, restrain, correct or abate any violation of this ordinance 498 Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately. Duly adopted by the following vote: AYES - Mr. Turner, Mr. Robillard , Mr. Robertson and -Mr. Solomon. Noes - None The report of the Superintendent of Queensbury Water District, for the month of June was received and placed on file. The report of the Police Department was read and placed on file. RESOLUTION TO APPROVE APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION TO MOBILE HOME COURT RESOLUTION NO. 171, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner. WHEREAS, Melvin Slopey of 6 Vista Court, Glens Falls, New York, has made application for a permit to operate an existing Extension to a Mobile Home Court containing 50 lots for mobile homes on property situated at Pitcher Road and Van Dusen Road West Glens Falls, N. Y. , and WHEREAS, the Town Building Inspector has, after investigation, given approval of this application and plans, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the application of Melvin Slopey of 6 Vista Court, Glens Falls, New York for a permit to operate an addition to an existing Mobile Home Court containing 50 lots for mobile homes, on property situated at Pitcher Road and VanDusen Road, West Glens Falls, New York be and the same is hereby approved and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized to issue the permit to operate an addition to a Mobile Home Court upon receipt of the fee, in accord- ance with Section 2, paragraph 4 of the Mobile Home Ordinance of - the Town of Queensbury. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Turner, Mr. Robillard , Mr. Robertson and Mr. Solomon. Noes - None RESOLUTION REGARDING THE USS PUEBLO RESOLUTION NO. introduced by Mr. Solomon, seconded by Mr. Turner. WHEREAS, the USS Pueblo and its gallant crew are still being held captive, be it RESOLVED, that Sunday July 28th, 1968 be set aside and proclaimed USS Pueblo Day in commemeration of the U. S. S. Pueblo and its gallant crew and be it further Resolved, that Supervisor Gerald B. Solomon be directed to make a plea to the people of Queensbury to fly the American Flag on that day as a heart felt gesture of reassurance to these gallant men and their families.
